Welcome to the Year 3
As of September 2020 Year 1,2,3 and 4 will be known collectively as The Quarters. Mrs McGrotty will be the Lead for The Quarters. Should you have any queries about anything to do with Year 1, 2, 3 and 4 please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Each week our page is updated with our weekly information in PDF files at the bottom of this information
At Bungay Primary School, we are keen to inspire and create a culture of love towards reading. In The Quarters, we will be working together as classes to earn Minions! Each time your child reads to an adult and gets their reading record signed, then they will gain a Minion. The Minions will fill up each room of our Minion House displayed in The Quarters activity area. The class with the most Minions each week will earn a reward! Please remember that it is so important to hear your child read regularly, as this will help them to develop in fluency and confidence. We look forward to seeing lots of Minions!

The children should be able to spell and read the common exception words for their year group. It would be very useful to practise these regularly. Spellings will be set weekly using spelling patterns/rules which are relevant for your child’s ability.
In Year 3 and 4, children are expected to join their handwriting using the correct formation. At Bungay Primary we use cursive handwriting. This may be something that you would like to practise at home.
Our P.E. day is on Tuesday. Please make sure that each Tuesday your child comes to school dressed in the correct P.E. kit.
