Mr Benson-Smith was such a well-loved and caring man who found so much joy and pleasure from helping children learn to be the best that they can be. He was such a generous individual – with his time, patience and friendship. He loved his job and the challenges it brought. He was a joy to work with and spent time working on strategic school improvement or just having a good laugh at the trials and misfortunes the job can bring. He always had a kind word to say at the right moment or an irreverent aside to make us all remember the lighter side to things. He will be dearly missed in so many ways. 

The school community has provided a lasting memorial to Mr Benson-Smith.
