Outdoor learning
We are so lucky to have a dedicated Outdoor Learning area for all of the children to use. Each class has their own dedicated patch of land to grow and care for plants. We also use these spaces as natural art displays. Each week, classes explore nature and the seasons we are in. Furthermore there are projects that help to develop pupils' design and technology skills, such as drilling, hammering, sawing and whittling, by continually renovating the area. The area also has a firepit, where we have roasted marshmallows, made popcorn, and baked garlic and rosemary flatbreads. Outdoor Learning lessons are a cathartic, screen-free time, where the children can enjoy the natural world with their classmates.
